These days it's practically trendy to have lots of kids. Look at Brangelina. Or the Duggars. But a recent episode of WEtv's "Secret Lives of Women" focuses on the Quiverfull movement and shows the darker side of big, Quiverfull families. As Kathryn Joyce, author of Quiverfull: Inside the Christian Patriarchy Movement, reveals in the episode, the movement began in the 1980s as a reaction to feminism. "Good" Christian women, many of them in the home-schooling community, embraced homemaking as their highest calling and left family planning in God's hands. Says Rachel Scott, a mother of eight and grandmother of one who was featured in the episode, "I believe conceiving children and giving birth is an act of worship. You're submitting to God's goal for the planet and God's goal for you as a woman." She adds that women should submit to men, in her opinion. But not all Quiverfull mothers are happy being submissive to God and their husbands. Although Vyckie Garrison was involved in the movement for 14 years, she divorced her husband and left the Quiverfull movement after her daughter attempted suicide. ( more + video )source

There are 30 nude photos and eight sex tapes of former Miss California Carrie Prejean, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. It’s the most shocking turn yet in a scandal that has continued to follow the woman whose anti-gay marriage stance led to a national controversy and pitted her against pageant organizers. Stripped of her crown, Prejean sued the Miss California USA pageant but reportedly settled after the sex tape surfaced. She called the sex tape the biggest mistake of her life. Now a RadarOnline.com investigation has uncovered that there are SEVEN more “biggest mistakes” of her life – all of them solo performances, just like the one sex tape that the religious beauty queen has admitted to. And there are 30 photos of Carrie, most topless, some showing everything, and most taken by Carrie using her reflection in a mirror. On one tape Carrie is wearing just a flowing white blouse as she touches her own body in an alluring manner. Carrie can be heard moaning on a few of the tapes. In her newly released book Carrie wrote, “God gave us our bodies, and it’s perfectly right that we use them in ways where we can give glory to God by making our bodies, our temples of the Holy Spirit, strong and fast.” How much did I love King and I? Everybody!
Stupid girl, stupid girl, What are they teaching you? Stupid girl, stupid girl, It's so your fault.
They won't give back your crown, You're obviously down, Stupid girl, stupid girl, It's so your fault.
Mods: This wasn't posted because this "Radar exclusive" was posted on the 13th, and there haven't been any Carrie Prejean posts since then.Tags: beauty pageant, sex tape

He's the pin that holds 'Project Runway' together. To employ catchphrases from two Teutonic giants -- Heidi Klum and Arnold Schwarzenegger -- Lifetime TV's "Project Runway," which wraps up its season this coming week, has bid auf Wiederauf Wiedersehen to Los Angeles for now. But it'll be back. So too will the man whose own catchphrase, "Make it work," gets shouted at him from admiring strangers in taxicabs. I cannot sew on a button properly, but I wouldn't miss "Project Runway," in large measure because of the urbane and droll Tim Gunn. If there's a Tim Gunn character, I might even play the forthcoming "Project Runway" video game. "Project Runway" fans may think of him as a fashion god, but Gunn regards himself as an educator, counselor to the designer/contestants toiling among the toiles. He strolls from dressmaker's dummy to dressmaker's dummy, either worried or pleased, as the garment under construction deserves. Gunn spent a quarter of a century as a teacher and administrator at Parsons the New School for Design in New York. Now he's the creative director and "brand ambassador" for the Liz Claiborne company.Even if you only see "Project Runway" as you channel-surf on your way to PBS, you have to admit he's an especially able wordsmith. Who else can so credibly toss out words such as "diaphanous" on television, or speak comfortably about "the semiotics of clothes"? He crafts and stitches his phrases as meticulously as the couturier Balenciaga composed his dresses. So I'll tweak Shakespeare to say this about Gunn: His "glass of fashion" is always full. ( phonography about his personal style, NY vs LA, PR & Tim teach young people, not designing a collection, appearance affects ur life, no fur!, fashion epiphany, $pay$, hatin' on crocs. EXTRA CUTENESS IS HIGHLIGHTED FOR TLDR CROWD )sourceTags: project runway

Rosie O'Donnell may have said last month that she was done commenting on breakup rumors dogging her relationship with her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, but that changed Friday. On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O'Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired chihuahua. "Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you," pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O'Donnell's dog Misty. "She's so spoiled and she loves to burrow." O'Donnell confirmed: "She does! She burrows in the bed right next to me." And, when asked who "sometimes looks after her," O'Donnell explained her four children all fight over caring for the pup, which she got three days after Carpenter left. "What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog." On Oct. 20, O'Donnell told USA Today, "We're a family, we remain a family ... Kelli and I love each other very much, and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties." sourceTags: rosie o'donnell
