- It was 60 degrees here on Monday. Yesterday was equally beautiful. They are saying that it will hit 70 today. Tomorrow, when truecrystal arrives, it will all turn to shit. Rain…snow…30something degree weather. Now that is just mean! I totally wanted this post to be about TV and stuff that's been going on in my life. Apparently I babbled so much that it took me almost two hours to post about my shows (I *am* at work) so there will be a regular post following...at some point. - Prison Break: Has this been renewed for Season Three? I can’t imagine how they can get another 22 episodes out of this storyline. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve actually enjoyed the second season more than I did the first season. I love Kellerman and Mahone and I’m finally really loving Linc and Michael (it took me a while). I’m just hoping that the finale ends with Sucre, Belleck, C-Note and T-Bag dead. I like all the actors but I am so damn tired of their storylines. I’d be perfectly happy with S3 focusing on the brothers and the brothers alone. - Heroes: Still loving the show. I know it’s not perfect but I do enjoy it immensely. I love Nathan and Peter the most and I hope they stick around for a long time. The show is very pretty and no character has bored me yet and that’s a plus in my book. 24: *sigh* I have sat through every season of this show and just gone along for the ride even when it was preposterous. But Martha stabbing Charles just pushed me over the edge. I don’t even know why! It wasn’t any more insane than anything else that has ever happened on the show but it just pissed me off to no end. And can we have ONE season without a shady character in the White House? Why does the Veep have to be bad? WHY?????? I’ll still keep watching because I love me some Jack Bauer and Bill Buchanan but it’s really getting beyond ridiculous at this point. Oh! And who could have called that out of the Silver Spoons boys that Derek would grow up to be the hot one and not The Ricker? That would be me! (Though I’m sure there are some who disagree with me). Gilmore Girls: I am so not your typical GG fan (at least according to *ahem* some sites). I still love the show as much now as I did back in S1. I still love Lorelai. I still love Luke. I have absolutely no problem with Christopher. And I barely see a change in the writing. I know, shocking! I don’t know if it’s because I identify with Lorelai or because I love the show so much that I’m just blind to the obvious…I have no explanation. Veronica Mars: Whatever. I mean, I still watch it but it just really, really sucks now. Not that I thought it was ever The.Greatest.Show.Ever!!! But it just really…sucks now. American Idol: Yes, I still watch this. Shut up. This year is spectacularly bad. I know…there are some strong female singers but I can’t imagine myself buying any of their albums (OK, so I’ve never actually bought an AI album…). I think Melinda Doolittle is probably the best of the girls and I do love and adore Blake out of the guys…but that’s it. I miss Elliot. The Pussycat Dolls: Search for…something: Man, it’s just like ANTM except with skankier girls who can’t sing or dance. Plus vomiting! How awesome is this show? The Riches: I liked it. I think it has enormous potential. I was a little weary because I’m not the biggest Minnie Driver fan (I don’t hate her or anything…I’ve just never really thought too much about her). But I thought she was very good and I’m really curious to see where it could go. I almost always love F/X shows so I knew it had to be half-way decent. (I still miss Over There. The best F/X show that nobody watched.) America’s Next Top Model: This show is genius. No, it really is! They have a goddamn Mail Order Bride as a contestant. That is pure brilliance right there. I don’t care, this is still one of the best reality shows on the air. It’s so much fun and this week is the Makeover Episode! Bring on the hysterics! Lost: Am I just the easiest TV viewer or something? Because I so don’t think Lost has gone downhill. I’m not frustrated by the lack of answers or the new questions. If anything, it’s my second favorite show on TV right now. I’m even starting to love Sawyer! I was never a HUGE fan of his but I’ve always enjoyed him. It’s just that I’ve realized over the last few episodes that I kind of love him now. But Jack will always be my favorite. *sigh* Smallville: Still Cheesy. Still Pretty. Still Awesome. Yup. I AM the easiest TV viewer. Ugly Betty: Aw, I really like this show. It’s totally grown on me. Vanessa Williams is awesome and she kicks ass as Willy. I had huge reservations about Rebecca Romileftthehottestguyeverforuglyjerryoco nnel because I fucking can’t stand her but even she isn’t bothering me. It’s just a really cute fun show! Judith Light deserves an Emmy. She kicks so much ass and she is delightful to watch as Mama Meade. Grey’s Anatomy: I do not know what to say about this show. I don’t know why I continue to watch since I can’t stand Meredith/Derek. Izzie is working my last nerve and George/Callie are beginning to bore me. It’s at the point where Alex is the only character on the whole damn show that does anything for me. Oh, I do like Addison. And dude, am I the last person to realize she played Drew Carey’s girlfriend Kate? She looked so completely different! I loved Kate! Robin Hood: hee!!!!!! It’s so damn cheesy. The production blows. The costumes are laughable and Robin isn’t even THAT hot but yet….I fucking love this show! The Sheriff cracks me up and I like Much’s love for Robin. I am happy that Marian is turning out to be a strong character and Robin is slowly growing on me. I think I had a hard time warming up to him because I always pictured Robin Hood as being older and the actor has a very boyish look to him. But I don’t care at this point because the show is so much FUN!!!! And I read that it just gets better and better as the season goes YAY!!! Dresden Files: Harry Dresden is Hot. That is all. The Amazing Race: It’s no secret that I love and adore Rob and Amber so you can imagine how heartbroken I was when they were eliminated. I had known ahead of time so I could prepare myself. I’m so going to miss them. I don’t really care who wins now and when I spoiled myself about R&A, I totally spoiled myself for who supposedly wins. I’ll still watch because I love the show regardless. And I do love Danny & Oswald and Teri & Ian are surprisingly fun to watch this season. Charla & Mirna can fall of a cliff for all I care. Screeching harpies! Battlestar Galactica: There has been a lot of criticism about this season but I’ve been really enjoying it. I had no clue they were killing off Kara so that was a shock to me. I am finally warming up to Apollo and if they ever get rid of Baltar I may actually stop watching the show. I love him so damn much and James Callis kills in the role. I have left the best for last: Rome: I loved Deadwood, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Carnivale, Entourage, Extras …but Rome is hands down my favorite HBO show EVER. It’s just so damn good. It’s flawless. I am completely enthralled with this show. The acting, the writing, the…pretty. I love all the characters and I am so beyond sad that it’s ending soon. Mark Antony cracks me up and my heart continues to break weekly for Vorenus. Not that I never liked Pullo or anything but I’ve really warmed up to him this season. And I LOVE the new Octavian and actually miss Brutus. Such perfect casting all around on this show. I am so going to miss it. What will I do when it’s over? I know...bring on The Tudors!!! (Did I forget anything?) Current Mood: bouncy

This conversation happened at our house while Martha was cutting the kiwi: Brent: She's going to cut herself. Me: No, that knife is going in Logan. ...later Me: See?
Mirna is tv comedy, but I'm ready for her to be trampled by large animals or something. I'd say bulls, but that would be Spain, and apparently we're never leaving South America this year.
And there is nothing greater than a mail-order bride. The way that she either doesn't get it, or thinks it's a compliment? Priceless. "Ms Jay said I walk like I'm Martian. I'm doing great." Possibly the best quote ever.
Love Dresden files, although it conflicts with things on Sunday, so I don't get it until Friday. I'm going to fix that, though. I've also read one of the books, and Brent picked up two or three more the other day.
I've only watched one episode of Robin Hood, and while i like the strength of Marion, that is one girl who needs to learn which angles are flattering for her face, and which aren't.
And I have a mad crush on Vorenus. Poor guy.

Um, so in spite of the fact that you might defriend me for this: I freaking hate Lost now. I'm totally over it.
I'm glad that you and others still enjoy it- but it drives me bananas.
I don't ask that a show give everything away up front- in fact I much prefer shows that hold some things back and leave a little mystery/surprise you every once and a while. But it's enough already here.
Every damned time I see an interview with the creators/producers (whoever) they're always all "Oh we're totally going to reveal the BIGGEST SECRET YET!" Then the reveal is like "there's a VW bus in the jungle." WTF I NEVER wondered about a damned VW bus. STFU Lost.
Ugh, sorry. I mean, I loved it first season- I did. But I'm just kind of over it now.
Right, anyhow- maybe this will save me from being defriended:
I Looooooove Dresden Files. That show? Is awesome! Every time I think I have it figured out, it's totally not what I'd expected. I totally want to read the book(s?) now.
Also, the Husband & I TiVo'd the Riches on Monday (as- and again, I may be isolating myself here- we can't get into the Black Donnelly's) and really liked it. He really likes Minnie Driver, and I just thought the show was totally different and has a lot of potential.
TAR- I was way sad when Ramber were eliminated. I ♥ them. I don't care what anyone says- they are awesome. I didn't watch TAR until their season (maybe 1 before), so I'm totally unfamiliar with some of the teams' previous appearances. All I know is I want to reach through the TV and smack Charla/Mirna. Ugh. I like/am rooting for Oswald & Danny- or the Guidos, even though everyone says they are evil. I think I'm gonna netflix some of the past seasons to sort of "catch up."
And finally, ANTM is kick ass this season (cycle, whatever). The Mail Order Bride is ridiculous, Renee is obnoxious, and the drama is just fantastic. Love it!
